72% of Australians are now living from Pay to Pay!
According to a recent study by author and money commentator Greg Smith a staggering 72%* of Australians are now living from pay to pay.
Whilst this figure may not come as a surprise for some it was revealed in Smith's study that despite the current economic boom, record company profits and full employment over 68% of those polled admitted that they were very close to going broke or barely surviving - regardless of their income levels.
"It's a lethal cocktail of the blow out in our daily living costs and the flat lining of wages plus our voracious appetite for spending that's causing such stress. With 36% of people now paying greater than 50% of their income toward the repayment of debts, money is become even more scarce. Unfortunately any kid of wage rise doesn't look likely as 52% of respondents from our survey said that they had not received a pay rise in the last twelve months nor were expecting one any time soon. It's little wonder why so many people are living from pay to pay," commented Smith.
But despite the dark clouds forming, Smith believes that people have a chance to do something now. In fact, he maintains that he has the secret to breaking out of the pay to pay cycle in his new book, aptly titled "How to Stop Living From Pay to Pay.'
In this book he provides a first hand account of what it's like to get into the pay to pay cycle and more importantly, how to get out of it. Here he shares his own personal journey over the last ten years - showing that anyone (no matter their income) can fall into the pay to pay cycle.
As readers will quickly find out, this is not the traditional money self help book. In fact, How to Stop Living From Pay to Pay is far from it. It's just like having Smith sitting down right next to you and chatting with you one to one about your own money issues. His warm empathetic persona shines right thought each page as he constantly reassures and encourages the reader that thing will be OK. To keep things interesting he also throws in a number of stories which get a bit of a chuckle along the way. He writes the way he talks so expect a book that doesn't have any money mumbo jumbo or confusing theories. Just expect down to earth and easy to understand and follow advice.
This book is for everyone who lives from pay to pay and wants to find a way out.
It will have a huge impact on every reader as it will help them :
• Discover the psychological and external factors that influence their approach to money and help them understand why they do what they do with money.
• Knock over their debts in times frames they could have only dreamed of using Smith's Debt Buster Program.
• Reacquaint themselves with the fine art of saving and wealth accumulation that will ultimately give them the freedom to one day say "ta ta" to their boss - in the nicest possible way of course!
• Learn how to deal with those Money Monsters - unexpected bills, fines, loss of jobs etc and 7 Deadly Money Sins (greed, envy etc) - that can destabilize ones delicate money balance.
And much much more...Best of all this book will inspire readers to finally take action and sort out their finances so that they can live the life they want and deserve.
